BrochureRitalin.pdf NWSep09.pdf Hi Neighbors,
Attached is the September Neighborhood Watch Letter from Officer Wolff and a brochure about Ritalin abuse. The newsletter contains information about texting while driving, social networking sites and dealing with solicitors. Wildwood does require a permit for solicitors which they should be able to produce.
At the last Neighborhood Watch Coordinators meeting at the police station, Officers Wolff and Wood both commented that the use of methamphetamine is way down now due to the difficulty getting the ingredients, but that heroin is now the drug of choice among hard drug users. Alcohol and marijuana are still the most prevalent.
As you know, the burgler who broke into garages in our neighborhood has been caught and some of the items stolen have been returned to owners. The police are trying to retrieve other stolen items from pawn shops, etc. Please remember to close your garage doors at night and lock all cars. Don’t leave anything valuable in the cars. A neighbor has also suggested that alarms can be placed on garage doors just like they can be placed on houses.
Please remember to report any suspicious cars or activity to the Wildwood Police at 636-458-9194.
